Karma Yoga Studio

Karmayoga made a really huge improvement in the last year! The girls in the reception are much nicer, patient and English friendly. The booking system is much more comfortable, and easily accessible in English. The courses with Rosible are, in my opinion, the best yoga practice in Prague. Still it is hard that the studio is free for entrance only few minutes before each practice, since most of the classes are scheduled very close to each other and classes are usually crowded, especially in summer.

Irresponsible teachers, strict rules for attendees. 1) English yoga teacher didn’t show up at least once 2) Always queues at the reception. If you are running tight on time from work - they won’t let you in even after 2 minutes. Even if you spent those 2 minutes at the reception, waiting. 3) A very inconvenient system of booking - you need to pay deposit of 150 czk. If you haven’t done it in advance, there is no way to do it online. You need to come separately before the class to pay the deposit and then make a booking

My friend and I wanted to try yoga classes there but receptionist forgot to book us a spots after calling and when we came the class was full and we were sent home. The receptionist though suggested to book another spot for us and we were told it will be to cover it with a multisport card with extra 50 Czk. When we came again, there was a different receptionist and said that we should pay full class. I told her the whole story but she did not care. NOT RECOMMENDED, they should improve their customer service.

I'm very unhappy with their English classes. I asked the studio beforehand which classes are recommended for English speaking beginners. I was recommended the Jin yoga, but the class was held mostly in Czech and I couldn't really relax. I switched to Vinyasa, which was supposed to be taught by a California teacher. First time I arrived, the teacher never came and we were sent home. The second time I arrived, the class was held by a substitute teacher who barely spoke English (there was no previous warning about the substitution). Three attempts are just enough. I'm never going back and definitely don't recommend Karma Yoga regarding the supposedly English classes.

Great teachers, helpful staff, and facilities. The Monday 19:35 Vinyasa in English class was awesome! Thanks for a great yoga experience.
