We are a group of 4 people and we booked the stay through Airbnb. From the app we could see only pictures of the main building nicely edited and had no idea of the surroundings. Once we booked we were already surprised by the elevated prices for 3 rooms. On the day of the arrival we communicated with the host who offered to prepare dinner for us that same night and confirmed us the price of 150 czk per person. Upon our arrival we were told to go towards a parking which was not what we expected. It was an area of mud in front of an abandoned looking factory. We walked towards the main building and were met by a young man who didn’t even greet us, just told us to follow him, gave us the keys to the rooms and indicated where they are. Upon arriving to the rooms we were surprised to notice that you can hear everything happening around you, the sink is outside of the bathroom, there are not bedside lights, the shower is not covered, so the water goes everywhere. We inquired about doing wine tasting at the location and we were told that we would get an amazing wine tasting experience just before dinner. We waited until 30 mins before eating for the host to call us downstairs, we were just asked which wine we want and that was our tasting. The dinner was Served pretty late since the host was the only one cooking and serving. There was no place where to sit properly, just a few random dirty rooms with a few chairs which we moved together around a table. The dinner was not the best, potatoes were not cooked and the turkey was kind of tasteless. The breakfast in the morning was good but the coffee machine had no water neither coffee inside and no one showed to refill it. During the check out we were charged almost 200 czk per person for dinner instead of the promised 150. To sum up the place was not as nice as in the picture, because they do not show that surrounding the main building there is a very creepy factory all broken and abandoned. It is all under construction which we understand but they could improve much more on service.
A wonderful fairytale environment that has a real atmosphere. The rooms themselves are very nice and modern, but there are some shortcomings that it would like to work on. There are no paved sidewalks outside, when we were raining heavily and there was mud everywhere, the terraces and stairs from which you enter the rooms were also very wet. Breakfast quite poor, missing some cheeses, vegetables. We were accommodated here as wedding guests and it occurred to us that the staff was nice, but organizationally could not cope with the onslaught of people. We were in the room with a strange couple and we had only one key, the receptionist suggested we put them away at the reception. But when we left the wedding at night, the reception was locked, which we did not mention and we had to wait until someone came to open us directly from the wedding venue.
Great place, relax and beautiful spaces 😇
Accommodation is in the stylish area of the former pottery. Construction work on the alterations of other buildings and paved areas is still active here, so there will be no complete peace for some time to come. However, the area is nice and the castle has its own charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful despite the large number of people who have to serve daily. And now a little criticism. We were accommodated in the main building and the rooms completely lack some dimmed evening lighting, such as bedside lamps. Furthermore, if there was no longer any air conditioning, then at least window nets, so that one could ventilate without fear of insects. And last but not least, there are hidden drainage gutters in the showers, because they don't drain much, and with a minimal slope of the shower floor, that means water all over the bathroom. However, I recommend staying here, after all, you don't have much other options for a wedding in a nearby barn :-)
Great atmosphere! The chateau looks beautiful from the outside and even better from the inside, when the rooms are tastefully furnished with period furniture and at the same time with the presence of modern technology (beautiful mirrors with hidden heating).
Absolutely great staff! An ideal place for birthday parties or weddings. The capacity of accommodation and energy of the staff seems to be unlimited!
