It is a beautiful place full of history and memories

The cemetery is situated on a hill behind the synagogue (approx. 500 m). There is a nice view of Kounice from the cemetery. The original cemetery was quite large, to this day only part of the tombstones have been preserved, some are very old, some modern. The place is quite well maintained. Among other things, the ancestors of former Austrian Prime Minister Bruno Kraiske are buried here. Bruno Kraisky went to Kounice for holidays to relatives. I recommend a visit.
