Petr Lukáš (11/14/2016)
The dominating feature of the small village Prosetín near Olešnice in Blansko is the Baroque Catholic Church dedicated to Sts. Margaret. The original local church used to be only wooden. However, in the 17th century a large number of pilgrims came here on the feast of the aforementioned saint. That is why the original church was demolished in 1738, and instead of it, Jan Theodore, the free lord von Imbsen, had a new temple built. The building was then repaired in 1853 and 1882. There are two altars in the interior. The cemetery is still used around the church. Not far from the church in the cemetery wall is a tower containing three bells, one of which even comes from the first half of the 16th century. The local rectory is mentioned in the sources at the beginning of the 15th century, but in the 16th century it came into possession of non-Catholics. After the Battle of White Mountain, the church was for a long time only a filial, and in 1785 a separate Catholic spiritual administration was re-established. The Protestants of the Helvetian Confession also built their church in Prosetín in 1781 and have their cemetery and spiritual administrator.
