Janovy doly

The location is located 1 km northwest of the eastern edge of the village Chrudichromy to the east to the agricultural landscape of Malá Haná. It is a branched valley of a short tributary of the Svitava, flowing from Chrudichrom in the Boskovice furrow at an altitude of 340 - 405 m above sea level. The valley stretches in the east - west direction and is divided by a road from Boskovice to Letovice. Janovy doly is a distinctive landscape element in the otherwise monotonous Boskovice furrow with its rugged relief and colorful mosaic of vegetation formations and is characterized by very high aesthetic values. There are protected and regionally rare and endangered species of plants and animals. Of the specially protected species, the May ringworm has a population here, the protected birds of the common shrike and the woodpecker nest here. Of the regionally rare and endangered species, the ovate nipple, the dioecious valerian, the yellow iris, the narrow-leaved iris, the higher primrose, etc. grow here. In the very large population, there are autumn blackbirds. A small pond is connected to the alder grove in the lowest part of the locality.
