Church of the Assumption

The Romanesque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was later rebuilt in Gothic style. In the 18th century it was rebuilt in the Baroque style and in 1800 the tower was raised. The church is far from visible and impressive in its unusual size.

The church built in the 13th century fell under the order of Brevnov Benedictine, devastated during the Hussite wars.

The church dates from the first half of the 14th century, originally in the style of Cistercian Gothic. Its construction was influenced by the presence of Cistercians in the Monastery near Nepomuk. In the years 1606–07, a modification was made, from which the portal to the sacristy has been preserved. The floor of the tower was added in the Baroque style.
