The place is good, but a completely tiny room without a hall, chairs or armchairs for two people with a dog completely unsatisfactory, especially when the beds were so low that it was impossible to sit on them and lift heavily, there was still nowhere. Bathroom okay.

I would like to share the joy and pleasure of accommodation in the Ovčárna guesthouse ... indulge yourself in a wonderful and romantic Czech Canada, sit in front of the house, from which you can breathe history, let yourself be served by a nice lady owner and with a glass of wine or chilled beer enjoy a great fish or other owner's grill delicacy ... it will be good for your body and soul. An intimate place for a family holiday, a good base for hiking, cycling or skiing. The kitchen only works for dinner. Breakfast buffet. The cozy rooms and the homely atmosphere of the old building. The service offer is limited, but if you need to fold your head and you are active you can't mind. If you search for full service, food, wellness, etc., this is not the place for you.

A few observations from our stay in May 2018. First praise: the guest house is beautiful, very tastefully renovated, clean. But then it went from ten to five: 1. immediately upon arrival - the lady misread our e-mail with the order of accommodation, so we had to improvise. 2. In the menu on the Internet is information that he is tapping beer. She refused to hit the barrel even though there was a large group of us and we would definitely drink it all. 3. offered us bottled beer instead - and on our departure she recalculated the bottles to see if we had returned them all.  4. beautiful living room with fireplace. Yes, there is information on the web that it CANNOT be used, but it lacked logic for us. 5. there were no garbage cans near the pension. We had to TAKE the garbage ourselves into municipal containers !!! Overall impresion: we all felt more like we were in a high school dorm. The owner of the guest house reminded us of a dry Brussels clerk than the hostess, who should care about the satisfaction of the guests. It could probably be most aptly compared to the Lord of Cimrman in the clearing: "The grandfather was a famous loner. He avoided people and couldn't stand anyone around him. But he had always longed to be an innkeeper. He first opened a pub by the road to Písek. But people went there. Then he rented an inn on the square in Opočno, they went there again “.."

Hello Mrs. Nováčková, I would like to respond to your review because it more or less only concerns me. To point No. 1 - I am not aware that I would make your reservation wrong. As the rooms were ordered, they were handed over to you. Who and with whom will be in the room was purely at your will. 2 - you didn't want to hit the barrel because you brought your own supplies with the proviso that you wouldn't drink the whole thing. The guest house was barely open, you were the first guests this year for an extended weekend. So we didn't come across it and offered bottled beer (when it came to you). 3 - since we transport bottled beer from the wholesale store, we return a box with the number of bottles we bought. In addition, we did not charge you for returnable bottles. 4 - the restaurant cannot be used freely due to the fact that in that case the bar and kitchen would be freely available. Instead, we lent you tables and chairs for outdoor seating free of charge. 5 - you will find containers for sorted waste at the accommodation facility only in exceptional cases. Since you brought food and drinks in non-returnable packaging outside our restaurant, I do not see a problem in cleaning the waste after yourself. Containers are only a few meters from our house. In addition, you as a guest used cookers in the rooms, even though our operating rules prohibit them. In this, we have EXCEPTIONALLY accommodated you so that you are satisfied. So I'm very sorry that you were not satisfied, even though I tried to do the maximum for you. Therefore, it is better to read carefully next time which accommodation facility you are going to - what services it offers and which it does not offer. I believe that next time you will find more suitable accommodation for your needs. Perhaps the bottles taken away and the bath mat will make you happy at home and you will not remember us in a bad way :-) Regards, Vaľová Jaroslava
