Hotel a restaurace Landštejnský dvůr

Absolute disaster. Avoid at all costs if you want to keep your good health. Some of the staff are trying, but what happens in the kitchen is an absolute nightmare... it´s a shame as the location right under the castle is perfect. The owners should be ashamed but apparently they do not care at all.

This review does not apply to accomodation which we did not visit. The "restaurant" operates as a self-service buffet now... and the food is really below average. Great location just below the Landstejn castle, ample space outside for parking and a play area sound like positives but the potential is wasted. Rather than allowing you to relax before or after visiting the castle it is the exact opposite. The kids play area is run down and outright dangerous. The above ground pool is more of a fermentation cask. The tables and benches are in disrepair. And the rest of the operation is equally disappointing. The whole operation is schizofrenic, the potential here is to run a reasonable quality restaurant inside and a beer garden with quick inexpensive food/grill outside for those on bicycles and with kids outside. Instead it is a highly unsatisfying hybrid taking the worst of both worlds ... What a shame. Advice - grab a beer or soda (despite the self-service operation this may take a time as their taps froth the beer and soft drinks slowibg everything down) and head to Slavonice or Nova Bystrice. Not sure if the other 2 places are in fact any better. One is missing a play area, and we did not visit the other. Neither looks as good but the experience can hardly be any worse.

Good value for money.

The initial joy of the open window was replaced by disappointment with the food brought. Garlic, and Láda Hruška wouldn't like it either. We all breathed out the food consumed for another 4 hours. Unpleasant service, prices inadequate.

From the reviews we already knew that we should not expect any Michelin, but what is too much is too much. Since it was the first Sunday in September, we had no choice, the other available pubs near Landštejn were closed. The food could be eaten, there was quite a lot of it, but what was our surprise a few hours later, already in a rented holiday cottage. First his goulash left my husband and then my salad and me. I believe I don't have to describe the details. Therefore, whoever you can, avoid this "hotel". A sleepless night and a spoiled few days from a prayed holiday are not really worth it.
