Beautiful area with pleasant and not so demanding ascents, nice views ... Also suitable for children ... Beautiful nature, cleanliness and well-being ...

Very nice route along local peaks with an altitude range of about 600 to 800 m above sea level, which swings up and down beautiful forest places with stony paths. On and off the peaks, you will come across a lot of rocks and boulders, which can usually be overcome without difficulty and enjoy the surroundings. Currently, timber is being harvested in many places and many rock formations are being uncovered. You can plan a nice all-day hike around 20 to 30 km when you walk through all the interesting places in the area. Lots of starting points in the surrounding villages, guesthouses, restaurants and a campsite in the immediate vicinity.

Devítiskalská Highlands is a natural area of the type of rugged highlands in the range of altitudes 614 to 836 m, in terms of regional division of the shape of the Earth's surface (georelief) of the Czech Republic delimited by the boundaries of the geomorphological district of 110.00 km² in northwest part of the. I recommend as an area for hiking and other activities in the wild, cycling, horseback riding and in designated places and rock climbing, in winter with enough snow and for winter sports (cross-country skiing, downhill slopes). The administrative area is mostly located in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou and the border in the cadastral Krucemburk in the district Havlíčkův Brod, both districts belong to the Vysočina Region, the northern marginal part extends in the cadastral territories Košinov, Vortová, Lhoty in the Chrudim district Pardubice Region. The natural area bounded by the boundaries of the geomorphological district has an irregular shape, the longest distance in the north-south direction is approximately 15 km on the line Lhoty (part of Vortová) - Lhotka near Žďár nad Sázavou and east-west approximately 12 km between Blatiny township Sněžné) and village Karlov. The geological bedrock consists mainly of rocks of the Svratka crystalline complex (migmatite, ortorula, two-mica clamp, to a lesser extent quarcite), in small localities a biotite gneiss and also pararula, metamorphic units in the Moldanubian (Paleozoic to Proterozoic). The terrain is modeled into narrow ridges, on many at the top of the rock formations formed in the Quaternary, consisting of isolated rock blocks or rock systems (eg Nine Rocks), at the foot of the cryoplanetary terrace and also boulder and debris stone fields. The highest elevations reach the highlands on several narrow ridges, northwest of the road II / 350 (section Herálec - Cikháj - Světnov) with the highest peaks Šindelný vrch (805.7 m), Kamenný vrch (802.5 m), Tisůvka (800, 3 m), Kašovka (723,6 m), Slave (717,3 m), Dry hill (684 m), in the central part with peaks Křivý javor (823,5 m), Žákova hora (809,8 m), Břímovka (790.2 m), Český kopeček (763.5 m) and northeast of the Herálec - Kadov road with the peaks of Nine Rocks (836.3 m), Křovina (829.7 m), Suchý kopec (up to 816 m, trigonometric point U kitchen 814.8 m), Lisovská skála (801.7 m), Malinská skála (811.1 m), U žida (777.2 m), Na Hřebeni (741.2 m), Na Čermačkách (721) , 6 m), Donkey (708.8 m). The narrow ridges are separated by deep and wide valleys, giving it the name of the so-called Žďár type of geo-relief. The highest point of the area lies on the peak with the geographical name Devět skal (Nine Rocks) (836.3 m above sea level) in the cadastral area of Moravské Křižánky in the Vysočina Region. Nine rocks form a so-called small rock town with rock walls, towers and turrets and with the same named highest rock, hence the geographical name of the natural area. The lowest level of the river Svratka is situated at an altitude of 614 m near the forest locality Nad lesem in the cadastral area of the town of Svratka. It originates in the locality above the village of Cikháj, and its source - the Břímovka brook, with a spring named Silver well on the slope of Žákova hora, belongs to the extensive spring. The Memorial at the Silver Well commemorates the ceremonial announcement of the Protected Landscape Area of Žďárské vrchy on 27 June 1970 by Army General Ludvík Svoboda, the then President of Czechoslovakia. The main European watershed of the Elbe-Danube passes through the area. The distribution board connects high-altitude points from Herálka with the names Otrok (717.3 m), Šindelný vrch (805.7 m), Tisůvka (800.3 m), Middle Hill (772.8 m) , Hudecká skalka (779.4 m) and trigonometric points called U horního lesa (779 m, Three Wells), Na kopci (781 m, Sklené) and V Bratroňovice (775 m, Lhotka near Žďár nad Sázavou). Attractive tourist-marked tourist routes of the Club of Czech Tourists, also educational trails (eg around Žákova hora), ascents to the peaks of so-called eight hundreds, etc. Photo & document / CZ200127
