The church is good, but the organist and the two spoiled kids are spoiling it a bit, if this gets better, nothing will prevent a better rating.

One of the two Catholic parishes in Zdar. In the town centre. An essential and characteristic element of the city, it stands near the nicely landscaped main square. Center of many activities. Interesting style. I recommend to visit.

A late-gothic two-aisled Catholic church surrounded by the Tvrz Street is the rest of the historical town of Žďár. Opposite the baroque building of the parish and the parish garden, ending with barns. Behind the church is the Baroque chapel of St. Barbora, patron saint of miners, which carries the elements of the architecture of J. B. Santini Aichl. The whole area operates comfortably, while at the entrance of Republiky square there is the pub U Süssů, towards the small Havlickov square. we find a café and another square, including other businesses.

Žďár is famous for its Church of Sts. John Nepomucký on Zelená hora and the nearby former monastery, as well as other Santini's buildings, however, certainly does not end the list of local monuments. You will find an interesting group at Havlíčkovo Square. Its dominant feature is the beautiful church of St. Procopius, which was founded shortly after 1270. Today's sacristy or tower is more than 700 years old. It was rebuilt in the late Gothic style in 1521–1560 and consecrated to St. Prokop on 28 July 1560. Until 1053 he was the abbot of Slavic monks in the Sázava Monastery - less than 150 kilometers downstream of the Sázava River. The fifty-five-meter-high church tower is open to the public several times a year. The view must be amazing, unfortunately I arrived in the middle of winter. Žďár nad Sázavou John of Nepomuk on the Green Mountain (renowned by UNESCO heritage) and the nearby former monastery, as well as other local buildings by brilliant Baroque architect Jan Blazej Santini-Aichel.
