Sokol unity Zdar was founded on December 26, 1869, but its greatest boom occurred during the First Republic. From the beginning, the Sokol falcons wanted to build their Sokol house, so during the First Republic they sold a postcard with a design of a Sokol house in 60 cents to earn extra money for it. The foundation stone was tapped in June 1928 by President T. G. Masaryk during his visit to Žďár. The construction cost one million crowns and was handed over to the public during the third council meeting in 1931. At that time it was the largest building in the region. During the war the statues of falcons as well as the original falconry flags disappeared from the columns. The activity of the Zdar Unity was stopped on April 12, 1941. After the war, all practitioners returned to Sokol. The gymnasium was not renewed until December 1990. In the vestibule of the Sokol hall stands a bust, which the falcons had made in memory of the founder of the Zdar gymnasium František Hutar, who died in 1942 in a concentration camp. Yes, I give five stars again, because the gym is great !! A choice of MANY sports and various other leisure activities! Great downtime, dear administrators and staff! But the only reminder - the gym would need renovation! The only thing they did was changing rooms! You could take Bouchalka as an inspiration :( But I can't reproach anything! :)
