Čajovna Scivias

Lovely tearoom right in the heart of this UNESCO-listed town. Wide range of teas, you can choose whether you want to be presented with a full teapot or with one only with the leaves and a thermos of boiling water so you can divulge into the alchemy yourself. Interior is very nice and you can either sprawl yourself on cushions on the carpeted floor and collapse into comfortable armchairs. Mind they do not have any desserts, so don't come on an empty stomach. One request - please do present the cups and teapots pre-heated, it really makes difference ;-)

Nice tea, good shisha, chilled atmosphere

Great atmosphere, good hookahs(high quality tobacco) and most importantly, good tea.

This tea place is really good. The owner seems to be a real hardcore tea-man. We had good teas for reasonable price. The interior is really tidy and nice too.

Unfortunately, the Scivias teahouse is the only teahouse in the whole of Telč. It used to be a really nice business. Sitting with tea, even with a shisha, was a really great time. It was clear that the owner really enjoys this field and that he also understands it and wants to take care of it. About a year ago, however, the quality of services began to deteriorate. The shrinking assortment, the departure of most of the staff, who were really nice (mostly girls at school) or even the reluctance of the owner to serve you, increasingly confirm that this place is really not worth a visit. In addition, the prices are higher than the prices in ordinary Prague tea houses. It's probably worth a visit, but I probably wouldn't have high expectations.
