Cheb

The platforms and tracks are new, building is from 50s but clean and with all facilities like convenience stores, bakery, station pub / restaurant (cheap dive, but better than nothing like at most reconstructed stations).

The train entrance from Germany to Czechia. An old rail station. The staff don't speak English at all. If you wonder something, the best way is to communicate with them in German or Czech.

No English speaking stuff. NOT ADAPTED for people with limited liabilities, baby carriage and luggage at all.. there is no even a ramp. Simply plenty of stairs. Old, grey, unwelcoming.

Personally, I don't have much love for Cheb, I'm not saying that Skalka isn't nice, for example, but the station and the surroundings are rather terrified by its staff, you are slowly afraid to get off the train there, let alone walk somewhere there.

The last time I visited the railway station in Cheb was twenty years ago, today I was here again after years. The platform is newly reconstructed, unfortunately that is about it. Otherwise, nothing has changed, the station building still ugly, a monument to the former regime. ☹️ Doubtful existence in the station area and all around. It is reminiscent of the remote city of eastern Ukraine. It's not a good business card for the city, after arriving I shook my head incomprehensibly, where I found myself. 😵
