Felling in Stromovka Park🌳🌲 In recent days, many have noticed the felling of trees in Stromovka Park. It was not a self-purpose felling, but part of the preparations for the planned revitalization of the park, which will be carried out in the coming years according to the valid project documentation from 2019. In this phase, only operationally dangerous trees were selected for felling. We understand the exaggeration of some residents, but we can assure them that all interventions took place on the basis of valid permits and extensive investigations by dendrologists that preceded them. For a layman, many damages are not visible, but are assessed by experts as dangerous. These include infections with the base of the trunk, damage to the roots, infestation by bark beetles, damage by wood-destroying fungi, or various cracks and bacterial discharge. All felled trees will be replaced by promising species in the next phases of revitalization in the park. Received a contribution from the City of Chotěboř
