Krajské muzeum Karlovarského kraje - Karlovarské muzeum

Visited this museum on a Tuesday and there was a free entrance (not sure if that’s a regular thing, though!). Entrance is also for free with the KV red card you can buy in the infocentre. The museum was absolutely amazing. The history of the city and the region is presented in a very nice, fun and (most importantly for me) interactive way. There are tons of touchscreens that let you explore the history through presentations, tasks and games, and you can touch many things there or peek through little holes that reveal fun comics of the life in Karlovy Vary. I highly recommend visitting this museum if you’re in town!

Fascinating place. Completely renovated. Informative, educational well structured. Easy to follow. Unique pieces. The museum has small cute cafe, kids play area, restrooms, elevator. Don’t miss it. Be ready to spend at least 2 hrs in museum.

Really liked the middle floor with the history of the town. The end of the top floor dealing with 1900's also interesting. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Very interesting and encompassing museum: natural history and human history from earliest periods to almost contemporary. Some interactive displays. Gives a very good overview, both of natural environment and human. Very glad I visited.
