Nicely landscaped environment and a wonderful walk in nature

I like to drive from Františkovy Lázně to Sokolov in the districts. On the way below the village of Bartoušov there are wetlands with gas springs. Now in October, the springs are full of water. In the summer months, with the current drought, the drop in water level is significant, creating "small shores" around the surface and you can find dead small animals that have been poisoned by gas while trying to drink. Gas springs are on both sides of the road. For safety reasons, I recommend parking on the side of the road where you will continue in the direction of travel. The place is located before the climb and a confusing turn. From Bartoušov in the direction of Františkovy Lázně you can park on a meadow, from here the exit is safer. The whole area of ​​the Karlovy Vary region, which extends into the area of ​​neighboring German Saxony, is dotted with such natural peculiarities, mineral springs and wells. The most famous is, next to the spas, the nature reserve SOOS (German for Sauce) near Františkovy Lázně. You can easily get there by train in the direction of Luby, Kateřina Railway Station.
