The village of Jíčiněves is located near the town of Jičín. It was not until the beginning of the 17th century that it was an independent estate, connected by Albrecht of Wallenstein to the nearby castle Veliš. Between 1715 and 1717, Count František Josef Schlík had a Baroque chateau built in Jičíněves according to the plans of the architect J. B. Mathey. The chateau served the Schlíks as a hunting lodge until 1908, when it became the official residence of the family, it always remained in its possession, with the exception between 1949 - 1989. The chateau is surrounded by an English park and an Empire orangery. Adjacent to it is the Castle Pond.

The magnificent impressive chateau building attracts attention from far away. Surrounded by an English park, farm buildings, behind the building beautifully repaired orangery. It was built by Count Josef Schlik in 1715-1717 in the Baroque style. The chateau served as a hunting lodge until 1908, then as a family mansion, today it again serves the family.
