To celebrate 300 years since the church began construction, on June 20, 2020, another bell was first solemnly consecrated and then placed on the church tower. It is named Sv. Vit, weighs 120 kg, diameter 60 cm, was cast in Italy. The costs were covered by a public collection together with a contribution from the region. ... The Baroque church is a protected monument.

The first mention of the village Borovnice dates from 1382, according to legend, the name comes from the pine forest, in the village stems Borecký stream, which flows into the Elbe. There is also the river Javorka. Church of St. Vitus was built in 1720 - 1722. From Borovnice is a beautiful view of the Giant Mountains.
