Ossarium Chlum

Pseudo-Gothic ossarium made of Hořice sandstone with a granite sarcophagus. According to the plans of prof. F. v. Schmidt from Vienna was made by the Viennese building councilor Wasserburger. The work was supervised by F. Vondráček from the Hořice school, which carried out the construction. The ossarium, originally made of Lithuanian limestone and consecrated on November 2, 1899, had to be demolished due to its poor condition. The restored ossarium dates from 1936. Every year (on the anniversary of the battle) the skeletal remains of soldiers found during the year on the territory of the battlefield are stored in Ossaria. number 346 according to the Committee for the Preservation of Monuments from the War of 1866
