Besedická kaplička

In the north of Bohemian Paradise in Besedice, on the square, there is a chapel with a small bell tower, built by locals in 1832. It was replaced by eternite in the 1920s and was not plated until 1960. In Nice above the entrance to the chapel is a statue of St. Joseph, foster parent, patron saint of carpenters. Unfortunately, under the previous regime, the chapel was treated very insensitively. Not only was it used as a warehouse, but an ugly building of perhaps a national committee or some other social purpose was glued to it. And even though the chapel was restored in 1996, the next building will probably remain with it. The first bell was made in the bell tower around 1835 and the first bell-ringer was called Jan Cvrček and was born in 1791. Originally slate roof of the chapel was replaced by asbestos cement roofing in the 20th. of the twentieth century, and after 1960 it was covered with sheet metal. Not only was it used as a warehouse but was stuck with the unsightly structure of perhaps a national committee or some other social purpose. Even though the chapel was restored in 1996, the secondary building is likely to remain there.
