It was called "In the Desert" here. The Baroque church, sometimes mentioned as a chapel, was built in 1769 by Count Karel Josef Des Fours, said to have been designed by Anton Schmidt. Another reconstruction was carried out in the second half of the nineteenth century ... The building is listed.

The beautiful church of St. Jan Nepomucký It dates back to 1769 in the desert. During its repair in 1860, the tomb of the Des Fours family - Walderode - was built here. The church stands on a hill above Železný Brod and is visible from afar. The view from it of the valley with the city is impressive.

Kostelec nad Železným Brodem. Wonderful view of the city and place of pilgrimages and concerts of classical and sacral music. In recent years, a favorite place for weddings.
