On our way back from Reichstadt (Zákupy) to Tetschen-Bodenbach (Déčin) we happened to pass this abandoned and half-ruined chapel and it immediately caught my attention. The chapel is quite isolated from inhabited areas. For this reason, the site was probably also chosen for the chapel, since it also served as the burial place for the Kinsky family. (And Sophie Chotek's mother, which is why we went to Zákupy, was also a born Kinsky.) And unfortunately, this remoteness also meant that the impressive building with baroque elements fell victim to vandalism. But the former beauty of the church is still clearly recognizable. And it is also clear to see that restoration work has started to preserve the substance. The long avenue of trees from the entrance to the street is also very beautiful.
