Doksy is a popular recreational and tourist destination. Doksy was founded in the second half of the 13th century. Emperor Charles IV also had a great importance for the development of the town.

Beautiful building built in a new building wave in the western part of the square in 1852 - after the experience of a fire in 1842, when all the wooden houses on the square and in the adjacent streets burned down, the newly built buildings are already made of stone. The office is housed in a beautifully renovated 1855 town hall building, which was built instead of the old one that burnt down in 1842 during a city fire. In 1863 the clock was added to the building. The Information Center is located next to the square. The square is also a beautiful plague column.
