This beautiful church has experienced times of great glory, but also periods of pain and ruin. Of the latter, I will mention three events. The first was the destruction of the church and the monastery by Hussite troops. Worse is that the construction was newly completed and even worse that the citizens of Prostějov allegedly took part in the destruction. The 30-year war came and with it the voracious and plundering Swedish troops. As is well known, they rightly took everything that had at least minimal value (I always remember the Prague Wallenstein Garden on this occasion, where we have only copies of the statues left, the originals are in the Royal Palace in Stockholm). The third catastrophe was the devastating fire of 1697, which killed almost the entire town of Prostějov, except for the church. I would like to wish the sanctuary sunny days in the future.

There was peace and quiet in the church. Also young energy, because the Holy Mass was also aimed at children.
