Náměstí Republiky - one of the very important centers of the city of Olomouc. Small in size, but history has been going on here. The building of the former governor's office now houses the Olomouc City Library. The area of ​​the monastery of the Poor Clares was founded in 1250 and after various vicissitudes provided "accommodation" to the current Museum of National History. And in the building of the Jesuit College you will find a memorial plaque (somewhat difficult to read) of the French general Lafayette imprisoned in Olomouc.

Parking near the center, museum and library. Parking for 30 CZK / hour. From 18 to 9 is not paid, which is useful, because the "crumb" from you will probably die out one of the local homeless people traditionally sitting at the Triton fountain.
