The church with a cemetery as a remnant of the extinct village of Lepějovice is located in a forest southeast of the village of Valy. Lepějovice Street, turning off the road from the road II / 342, which connects Valy with Heřmanův Městec, will soon turn into a narrow road and lead to the cemetery. Lepějovice is accessible on foot from the railway station Valy u Přelouče on the main line 010 from Prague to Pardubice or from the stop Veselí u Přelouče on the local line 015 from Přelouč to Heřmanova Městce, from which there is also a tourist marking. Near the church with the cemetery there are traces of a medieval fortress of Lepějovice (see separate entry), which was abandoned at the end of the 15th century. The fortress was protected by a stream called Struha. Its flow deeply cut into the clay ground has been since 1980 a natural monument called Meandry Struhy on an area of ​​41.5 ha. The remnants of the adjoining floodplain forest, which have been preserved in places of extinct ponds, are also protected. There is a well with drinking water and a small sitting area with info board

Very nice place. I did not expect such a historical building in this place. There is a hiking trail.
