In Volary you have everything you need, regardless of whether it is a dozen of grocers, drugstores, pharmacies, restaurants or bakers, we especially like the pastry chef. It is also a great starting point for long excursions. The village / small town offers a picturesque backdrop and especially the old wooden houses are beautiful. It is a good idea to explore the place extensively, there is always something to discover (e.g. menhirs, stations of the cross, ...). By train you can actually reach all important points. And within a radius of 40km there are so many opportunities for excursions, whether as a couple or as a family, that it is actually impossible to do it in a week. Whether hiking, cycling, sailing, climbing, or even on the sandy beach (Horní Planá). There is also a lot of things for children everywhere. We will come again because we liked it very much.
