Nice place and friendly doorman.

Literally for a few crowns a lot of music. Now the museum is also an exhibition devoted to beekeeping.
Zdeněk Pekař (07/18/2019)
The museum offered a sample associated with the mining and extraction of uranium, silver and tin.

The museum exhibits are located in a Renaissance town house. The exhibition presents the main historical landmarks and important fields of human activity, which significantly influenced the history of the city, especially the mining of tin, silver and uranium with examples of ores and mining industries from various stages of development. The most important craftsmanship in the town was tinning and porcelain production - Horní Slavkov is the seat of the oldest Czech porcelain factory Haas and Czjzek founded in 1792. The sad chapter in the history of the city is its construction development from a major and of the 20th century.

The Museum of Horní Slavkov is located in the newly adapted house No. 211, which is the neighboring house of the architecturally most valuable building in Horní Slavkov - the Pluh House (No. 497), with which it is connected with the common building-historical development. It is a one-storey basement building with a six-axis smooth window facade without plastic facade elements. In the interior layout, a depth wall and a right part of the rear wing were preserved on the left side of the plan. This preserved building fragment of the older layout contains a staircase hall in the middle and a cross-vaulted space on the right side with a neighboring smoking pipe of the former black kitchen, passing through the entire building including the chimney. The uniquely preserved space of the former black kitchen, which was an important element of the interior of this townhouse, has a high historical and documentary value. The construction of the house indicates its Gothic-Renaissance origin and is influenced by the Saxon type of urban development in our area. As a branch of the Sokolov Regional Museum, the Museum in Horní Slavkov was opened in 2001 with the intensive support of the town of Horní Slavkov. The permanent exhibition presents the main historical landmarks and important fields of human activity, which significantly influenced the history of the city.
