According to written sources, the church existed in the 13th century. At that time he served as a parish for the surrounding villages. It was surrounded by a rampart and a moat. By 1600, there was a hermit at the church who took care of the building. However, the church lost its importance and began to deteriorate. In 1736 it was demolished and subsequently replaced by the existing one-nave Baroque new building. The current building is the work of one construction stage. It is also worth noting the morgue, ground floor gamekeeper's lodge and a wall with a memorial cross. According to written sources, the church existed in the 13th century on these places. At that time it is served as a parish for the surrounding villages. It was protected by a rampart and a moat. In 1600 there is a documented hermit at the church, who took care of the building. However, later the church lost its importance and began to deteriorate. In 1736 it was demolished and replaced by the existing one-nave Baroque new building. The current object is the work of only one construction stage. A morgue, a ground gamekeeper's lodge and a wall with a memorial cross is also worth seeing.

From Klatovy, in the direction of Domažlice, just behind the town of Klatovy, Klatovská Hůrka is on the right and there is the Church of St. Martina. Below the church is the View of St. Martina from the viewpoint are nice views of the Šumava.
