St. Nicholas' Church

The church is visible from the Old Town Square. The design and structure looks completely different from the other church near the square (Church of Our Lady before Tyn). I quite liked the statues and carving along the exterior of the church. We didn't have time to go in to take a look through. It looked like the entrance was on the side of the church. There were also tickets being sold at the front of the church for a concert inside the church at night.

Simple but beautiful church with a beautiful selection of organ/ vocal songs from the grand classic masters. As the music started everyone had goosebumps from the sound of the organ and the soprano was magnificent- with a voice like an angel singing. It’s true this is not for everyone as you basically hear them playing and singing but since they are on the terrace behind you don’t really see them so you have time to study the beautiful artwork while listening to this angelic music or close your eyes and enjoy:)

This is a really magnificent church. It is beautiful. Words just can't describe how beautiful it really is. Entrance is free, and many concerts are performed here. Enterence is free, and well worth a visit. Its located just off of the Old Town Square. If you are in the Old Town Squre area and you have seen the Astronomical Clock, then head here for a few minutes. Its worth it. However, don't be confused. There is another church with the same name across the river at Malostranské Nam.
