What a great place it is! I was just wondering why I tried it only now, after driving past so many times. I guess it is because just by the look of it you don't really know that it's a classical Czech restaurant. Honestly, I thought it was more like a cocktail bar or something very very teenager-oriented. And then me and my wife decided to give it a try. And we loved everything! Very nice interior, nothing fancy, yet everything cozy. The waiter was very nice, very patient with my very broken Czech and whenever necessary ready and able to switch to English. We naturally loved the food we ordered, pork ribs and svickova. The ribs are excellent, meat very soft, easily coming off the bone, which is always a great sing of great ribs. Svickova delivered everything you expect from this classical food, tasty sauce, tender meat. The beer was very fresh, too. Anyways, now that we know that there's an awesome place just 10 mins from our home, we know we're gonna be regulars there. Thank you, Mattes!

Good Czeck food and good service.

Very fast service, delicious food, the hostesses are attentive and blazing quick. Didn't expect much from the restaurant, but it exceeded the best expectations.

Great lunch menu, sometimes overcrowded, in lunch time they twice bring me bill before meal. Sometimes they bring bill without waking if you want desert or anything else...it feels like “get you, we need your seat”
