Hotel Besední dům Valtice

Very beautiful hotel hotel in the centre of the beautiful winery town Valtice. The hotel is furnished to high standard and very comfortable. The personal is well trained and professional. There is a small spa with sauna and whirlpool. The one disadvantage is that some rooms are located next to the road which gets busy early morning. Bike friendly.

This hotel, in a tiny town in southern Moravia, had air conditioning! It was possible to cool down the room in the heat of midday. Once night fell, AC could be turned off and windows opened for a fresh breeze. Room even had a little sofa.

- We ended up in the attic room no. 7 with air conditioner working only at the lowest speed. The temperature in our room throughout the night was 31 degrees C. We could not sleep at all in this temperature. The staff first tried to fix the AC but they couldn't so thy promised to give us discount for that inconvenience. Apparently they changed their mind in the morning saying I need to pay full amount and then write an e-mail describing this situation in order to get the discount. Needles to say, the e-mail remained unanswered. Never again I will stay in this hotel. -Very basic breakfast. -Staff not speaking English

Great hotel and restaurant, big rooms and excellent location

The hotel is at a very top level. Breakfast is rich, appetizers are delicious, the main courses have a sufficient portion and the taste is also at a high level. Not to be missed are the desserts that are for real gastrosexuals. The attitude of the staff is excellent and can be considered the pride of the hotel. Equipment whether wellness or apartment all to one. A small negative is the club, which is located next to the hotel and at night in the summer months you can hear music in the apartment with an open window. However, this does not spoil the overall impression of the accommodation at all. I rank this hotel among the TOP 3 that I had the opportunity to visit in the Czech Republic.
