Lednice Castle is located in the village of Lednice on the right bank of the Dyje, about 12 km east of Mikulov, in the South Moravian Region. The castle with a large garden is one of the most beautiful complexes in the Czech Republic. It is on of the best colloured garden. The Lednice estate was acquired by the Liechtensteins in 1249 and belonged to them for almost 700 years. It is very pleasant to go through the interpretation, which has very extensive information

The large gardens behind the castle take a long time to walk around and explore. These gardens are much smaller but they have been very carefully manicured. They are beautiful and a pleasure to walk through, looking at the flowers, hedges, statues and fountains.
