The inconspicuous chapel stands a bit away from the center of the Úštěk on the former cemetery in the Česká Lípa suburb, but if you are heading for the Calvary in Ostrý or Helfenburg and head out from the square to the east, you will go past it. Definitely worth at least a short stop. The chapel is documented as early as 1494, but the building was significantly rebuilt in the 16th century Renaissance style. The area was complemented by a fence wall with a renaissance half-circular glass gate from 1635. Another shallow alcove chapel was built into the wall in 1721, when a minor alteration of the chapel was apparently taking place. After the transfer of the cemetery further from the town in the 19th century, the original site was preserved. At the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, the chapel was rebuilt into a funeral hall, while the former cemetery was modified and the inscription boards with quotes from Pliny and Julius Fučík were placed in the western facade. Definitely worth at least a short stop. The chapel is documented as early as 1494, but the building was remarkably rebuilt in the 16th century advanced Renaissance style. The area was completed with a fencing wall with a half-circular vault gate from 1635. Another shallow niche chapel was built in the wall in 1721, when it was probably a small modification of the main chapel itself. After restoring the cemetery from the 19th century, the original area was preserved. At the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, the chapel was adapted to the mourning hall, where the former cemetery was modified.
