In the center of Starý Plzenec is the church of St. John the Baptist (Kostel sv. Jana Křtitele), built in Romanesque style (probably at the beginning of the 11th century under Prince Jaromir) and rebuilt in Gothic style in the 14th century.

Church of St. John the Baptist in Starý Plzenec was originally a Romanesque church founded probably by Prince Jaromír at the beginning of the 11th century. In the 14th century it was rebuilt in Gothic style.

Nice square

A simple but beautiful (there is strength in simplicity) Gothic building from the beginning of the 11th century, probably founded by Přemyslid Jaromír (the local area was a relatively frequented locality from the second half of the 9th century - it was a princely fort from which the Pilsen region was probably administered). If your goal is the famous Rotunda of St. Peter and Paul, and you go from the train. station across the square, you can't miss it. Beautiful stop. Awesome gothic building from the beginning of the 11th century, probably founded by Přemyslovec Jaromír (the area was relatively busy site from the 2nd half of the 9th century - it was a princely settlement from which the Pilsen region was probably managed). Simple but beautiful church (the power of simplicity rules here :-)). If your goal is famous Rotunda of St. Peter and Paul, and you arrive by train and go through the square, you can´t miss it. Beautiful stop.

Would be a beautiful little church, unfortunately completed and only from the outside to look at.
