The Augustiner Realschule plus has a significant shortage of teacher staff, so that it is often necessary to resort to the variant that teachers teach subjects according to their inclination, which they therefore did not study. The impression was created as if this led to excessive demands on the teaching staff, since often simple topic questions could not be answered or could only be answered insufficiently by the teacher. Compared to other schools, it is also striking that this school does not have a uniform system, i.e. the grading deviates very much from teacher to teacher and can therefore vary widely. The shortage of teachers is also shown by the significant frequency of dropouts, that several free hours a week occurred at the end of the school day and in the previous hours, in which the students were not legally allowed to leave school, there were senseless substitution hours. Nonsensical, since no lessons in the actual sense take place, but rather more supervisory hours of play. Certainly a warm welcome to students, but it remains questionable for parents whether the didactic learning progress for which the students are attending school is actually progressing. In addition, regular lessons in which the subject teacher of the main subject is present are not in the interest of educational policy: Monday morning, the entire hour is used to share the experiences of the past weekend. This eliminates more or less 1/4 of the planned weekly lesson time, which would certainly be desirable for some of the students as preparation for upcoming class assignments. Here, too, the quality of teaching is generally negatively reflected. Possible examples of teaching quality: Teacher does homework that has to be worked out independently using the student book. In the following hour, homework is discussed. If the discussion of the homework does not take up the entire lesson time, another work order is to solve tasks from the book again independently. It would be desirable here to improve the lack of communication between teachers and students, so that the teacher endeavors to teach didactically the elementary teaching content provided by the curriculum by visualization on the board and not to presuppose the ability. Schoolchildren with a lower level of performance in particular will encounter considerable difficulties here, which can only be remedied by using special initiative, motivation and independent work from home. Conflict situations - regardless of content - are of course unpleasant disputes that still need to be resolved. However, personal experience with the Augustiner Realschule plus teaches that communication with the teacher concerned - and ultimately even with the school management - is absolutely inadequate and therefore deficient. There is not even an attempt to hold a conversation together to clarify and solve the situation. As a final conclusion of this review, I would like to encourage all parents to familiarize themselves with this school through the trial offers. Talk to the teachers and try to get a comprehensive picture of this school on your own. Experience has shown, however, that schools in and around the area have a more uniform system and take questions, problems and suggestions from students and parents. Loss of teaching should be kept as low as possible in the interest of education, so that the pupils are guaranteed the long-term and sustainable learning that they need in secondary schools - for example in the 11th grade at a high school to achieve the Abitur.
