I actually like to shop there, because the branch is very centrally located and carries a product that I can't get anywhere else for the price (with the Rossmann app). However, my shopping experience is always clouded by one and the same very rough and unfriendly employee (short gray hair, a bit older compared to her colleagues). The lady in question has verbally reprimanded me several times. Sure, I also make mistakes, but you can also point out something like this to the customer a little nicer and maybe with a smile. Could name different situations ... an example: I wanted to buy a product that was advertised in the app with a coupon / instant discount. It was an Ariel product, I still have a few products at home, but with the promised savings, I thought you can definitely take one more item with you. No sooner said than done. At the checkout, I put the product on the conveyor belt and, with wise foresight, opened the app with the coupon and randomly clicked on the small print promotion conditions. Then I noticed that the instant discount was only valid when buying two products, i.e. the savings were not as high as I assumed. I wanted to leave the product in the branch after all, but I was unable to inform the cashier about it in time, as she was already pretty quick to pull through my products without greeting. She only reacted to my "don't stop the article" when it was unfortunately too late. I nicely explained to her what I noticed while reading through the conditions and that I am no longer interested in the product. Then she scolded me really loudly that one should think about something beforehand and that she had already scanned the product. When I explained to her that she didn't react to my stop, let alone greeted me at all, she became even rougher. She rolled her eyes and even drew other customers into the action by scolding to herself and telling the customers that they now have to wait because I no longer want the product. I have a thick skin and enough self-confidence to handle something like that. Of course I still go shopping there, but in my opinion this behavior has nothing to do with service orientation. Maybe something is going on in this regard- I'll watch it :)
