"Glück auf" is the traditional miner's greeting from the 16th century. For the Schalke it's not just a battle cry but the name of the 1st football stadium. By 1958, seven German championship titles had been celebrated in the Glückauf Kampfbahn. 70,000 fans squeezed into the standing room stadium during the heyday. In 1973 the company moved to the Park Stadium.
