SIXT Autovermietung - DB Reisezentrum

Hard to find the parking lot when leaving the car..

Had a hard time finding the rental office, since there's no separate signs or guidance. For anyone wondering, it's in the DB Reisecentrum. I guess it's not an official Sixt location, so that's fine. After waiting 30 minutes (including an evacuation due to a bomb scare), I finally got to speak to the lady at the DB desk. She was kind, but clueless, and handed me the keys to an Audi. I had a bad feeling, since I specifically asked for a bigger car to fit our group and luggage. And indeed, the car was an Audi A4 sedan. Fine car, but useless to me. What followed was some 45 minutes of telephone roulette with Sixt customer service, waiting and frustration. Eventually I drove to the Essen city location with an official Sixt representative to switch the A4 to something a bit more useful to me. Not the car I wanted, but at least I could drive off. I love Sixt, but avoid this location at all costs.

Reserved car at 10 am and got it at 11:15 😡

No Sixt switch. You have to know that the documents and keys have to be picked up at the Deutsche Bahn travel center. Did not find any clues and had to ask me.
