This school is not recommended. A high school graduate from 2017 described the Helmholtz Gymnasium very well in his speech at the awarding of the Abitur certificate in 2017. In this speech, the 19-year-old high school graduate spoke of a “compulsory instead of educational institution” and of an “unyielding, authoritarian self-image” of the house. I can only confirm these statements. Many teachers have no competence and are often overwhelmed and not able to convey the necessary subject matter. In addition, the school is not in a position to show consideration for athletes in the upper school, although the school mentions the title “Elite School of Sports” in a big way wherever possible. Furthermore, the school has a drug problem, which the school is dead silent and does nothing about it. Students sometimes sit drunk and stoned etc. in class. The school is in a catastrophic condition, from broken window sills, broken window handles and windows stuck with tape, otherwise they come towards you, and the digital equipment is not even available.

The school is nice, the secretariat could be nicer and 5-6. Graduates could have a little more respect. Some sports teachers then rate how well you can do something, which I find unfair, because you can't help that you are not the best at something.
