Booking through Expedia will get you better rates. They charge €1000 deposit, vs $200 in the US (that’s what I usually get). I will update my review once I get the deposit back, and how long their process take. I booked a VW Passat but got a AWD Ford Kuga (similar to the Escape), less fuel efficiency. Gas prices are expensive in Europe so try to get a diesel vehicle (somehow difficult as some of online booking doesn’t offer fuel option, and new model cars with automatic transmissions usually uses gas in Europe).

Despite prepaid booking, the rental car was rented to someone else. Due to late arrival. Reason: General terms and conditions would hold unpaid reservations only 60 minutes after the fixed time. Since car rental appointments would be fixed dates like at the dentist.
