I reserved the car through a booking engine, the offer seemed good, then after it all finished they charged me the VAT on top of the price they show on the reservation made. Not that good of a deal anymore

Avis Nymphenburger Straße has outstanding service. I rented a car for a weekend and driving to Switzerland I needed the Swiss toll tag. Dropping by in the morning I asked whether they might be able to get me a car in my price class with a valid tag. When picking the car up in the evening, they had found me a car with the Swiss as well as a valid Austrian toll badge. The car was new, in perfect condition and had a cheap rate without mileage limitations. Checkout and return were both very quick.

Good cars / dishonest staff I rented many cars in this agency without any issues and trusted too much the staff to expect anything bad. But, during my last rental with them, I did the mistake not to check the car, as I was in a rush, before to discover an hour later some scratches which haven't been reported onto the contract. I tried my best to prove my good faith without any success, and had the surprise to be charged of 300 EUR for scratches that were made before my rental. Don't trust this dishonest agency, you'll find plenty of better places to rent cars in Munich, and don't forget to check properly the cars you rent to avoid such a bad experience.

Be extremely careful with these guys. NEVER agree to leave a car after hours and if you do have photos of every side along with the evening newspaper. Block or cancel your credit card almost immediately after you made your final payment and make THEM chase you up. They are filing fake damages and playing funny games on credit cards.
