They regularly have a host of wines open for tasting. It's the regular selection of Mövenpick wines. Not too cheap and/or brilliant, but totally fine from my perspective.
In Munich you are used to a lot when it comes to service quality in the service sector, but this managing director pulls the rug from under your feet. His dealings with customers and me as a (former) regular customer can no longer be judged as outrageous, but simply hostile. Unfortunately, it almost seems as if someone wants to mark his territory towards the customer by acting domineering. What Mövenpick, as a luxury brand in the hotel and restaurant industry, thinks of tolerating this behavior that I have observed for many years is a mystery to me. Perhaps the behavior is based on an internal study of the extent to which one can be disrespectful to always friendly customers without having to accept a loss of sales? The future will show how useful such a strategy is ...
