I'd love to give this place a higher rating, but when I went it was basically fairly standard German majors and a few IPAs on a half empty shelf labeled "craft beers". German major breweries are good, but there are other beers out there, and they're hard to find in Munich.

Most days you will encounter Alex manning the shop who is unquestionably full of good wit, helpful beer advice and delightful conversation! The store itself is amply stocked with a dizzying assortment of German beers (primarily Bavarian) and select international offerings (particularly Belgian and American). It is a lovely marriage between the emerging German craft beer movement and the traditional, trusted German styles that have kept people smiling for centuries. Pricing is completely reasonable and you can consistently find fresh FrauGruber beer here at its cheapest pricepoint in town (FrauGruber is without question my #1 go to brewery in the slowly expanding Bavarian craft beer scene). Best service in Munich in the bottle shop department! I come as much for the worthwhile conversation as I do for the beer. Alex throws some quality recommendations my way even though I usually know exactly what I am looking for during my visit. Be sure to check it out if you love good beer or are simply looking to try something new and expand your horizons. English, German and Bavarian are all accepted and appreciated languages at the Beverage Oasis!

Needing a break from Oktoberfest I stumbled upon this great independent craft beer shop. Excellent selection and Super knowledgeable proprietor. Alex runs a great shop and gives excellent suggestions. Definitely a must go for craft beer in Munich (a rarity unto itself).
