We have been lodging in this hotel since 2015. In the first years, the price (con Expedia) was really good, then it became more and more expensive (changed owner). The rooms are very different, but most are pretty big for European standards. Once we had a dark room with a really bad smell - but they changed it and gave us a big, lightfilled one with a nice new, big bathroom. The year after that the room was not clean, it seems the maid was given very little time for each room. There is a beautiful big park close by, great for walking and running. The neighborhood is not really beautiful, but safe. The cozy restaurant used to offer really good Bavarian food for a decent price, but over the years the offer became more limited, less well prepared - and a lot more expensive. We stopped using this hotel, but if absolutely necessary, I would lodge there again.

I hesitated a lot since I booked and then read all the negative reviews... I think this hotel would have better rating if it was positioned as three stars hotel. Room is large, bedding is good, it was quite and clean. Personnel at reception was polite but more talkative with German-speaking guests (well we are in Germany after all, people here speak German). However from a four stars hotel I except more: newer furniture, mini bar, hand moisturizer, etc. These small things make a difference between three and four stars, in my opinion.

Interesting place with a good balance for room - price combo. Large clean rooms with a tint of old in them. There is nothing else that you will find less appealing in the room. My room had a large balcony and a beautiful view of the neighborhood.

Good hotel with reasonable price and courteous staff. There are couple transport stop from which you can get the center of the city, clear rooms

Good, clean and hygienic hotel. Hot water kettle not provided in room. However kettle can be requested from the counter. Plain water provided by the hotel is pretty expensive. However cheap water can be procured from nearby gas station which is only 2-3 walk distance.
