They will give you a damaged car and then you will have to pay the Selbstbeteiligung 950€ Take care! I don’t recommend you to use the station! I took a Seat Leon with a little damage, they took my money from the account. Not fair, not funny at all!

Really angry about the service!!!!!!! Non-professional staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never rent a car with AVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! A parking fine that I received during my lovely stay in Germany. It is not the fine of 10 Euro that I am concerned about but the way an Avis staff member dealt with the parking ticket when I showed it to her, which led to an administration fee of 29.75 Euro.!!! As you can imagine I was both shocked and surprised, and very upset to say the least. I brought out the parking ticket and showed it to an Avis staff, and I asked if she would be able to deal with the parking fine and she said that it would be ok, that it would be sorted out as we have your credit card details. So, like any customer would, I thought it would be dealt with by Avis to help its client out. Until recently I had received a letter from you detailing the Administration Fee of 29.75 Euro, that's 3 times the cost of the fine, just for passing information to the Traffic Authority. Obviously I was stunned and in disbelieved as to how costly the charge was, had I been told about the cost of the administration cost involved in helping me to pay a 10 Euro parking ticket I would have paid the fine myself instead whilst I was still in Germany. Plus the parking fine was not pay using our credit card! Another issue that I have when renting cars from rental companies is that I never seems to be able get the car of my choice. Why give online booking customers a choice of cars to choose from when at the day of pickup the car that you picked online is never there. Granted, an administration cost should be incurred in helping out your client, but not telling your customer what the cost will be is something else.

Booked car through Avis central booking. Had confirmed reservation. Showed up, No car available. Agent at counter wanted to blame me because I booked only a couple of hours ago. Also she couldn’t call me because she couldn’t figure out that at American phone number goes with an American address. Offered no alternative transportation. Now I remember why I haven’t rented cars in years. Avis - We don’t try harder. We don’t care.

Good service

Returned my car at location as my contract required, before noon. The store is only open 8-10:30am on Saturday, and no one was there to receive our vehicle. During contracting, I asked specifically if before noon would be okay, and was assured that no penalty would be given if returned before noon. After returning home from vacation, I was charged the extra day. No one on the customer service line were any help, but actually grew defensive and aggressive when I explained my future business might be worth more than one day overage. I will not use Avis/Budget in the future even if they are cheaper. You get what you pay for. Apparently with them, you are paying for a company that does not honor its contracts.
