The station replaces the former Heinkelwerk bus stop, which was operated by articulated buses between Europlatz and Entenfang. The comfort gain is enormous. The bus stop itself is barrier-free and has prefabricated platforms on individual foundations to minimize interference with the surrounding trees. On the approach side into the city there is a bus shelter and a ticket vending machine.
