I rented a car, when I rented and signed the contract in the building, I was also shown the fuel level and there was nothing left for me to do but to confirm the level without being seen. After that, I was given the key and had to walk to the car. When I got there I got into the car, started the ignition and saw that the fuel gauge was almost a quarter less than what was stated in the contract. Then I called the lady from the building and she told me that she should note it and that I should take photos including the mileage when collecting and returning. Said and done. When I returned it, I drove back to the parking garage, there was one person, who I also reported on the fuel gauge and showed him the pictures. His answer: "I note that." A few days later I suddenly received an additional invoice from Budget, which amounts to € 25, because supposedly there was insufficient fuel when returning the vehicle. This was followed by a phone call to the call center, then I should write an email and then I heard nothing for 3 weeks ... Then after 3 weeks came an email with the following standard sentence: "After checking the documents we have, we can inform you that the vehicle was not returned as received. You were charged EUR 25.09 to compensate for the lack of fuel. " I am not being told how a difference of more than € 25 in fuel should have arisen from my pictures of the fuel gauge, which was also submitted by email. I perceive this as a very user-unfriendly business practice and for me it was definitely the last rental from this dubious provider ... I think it's a shame that despite multiple arrangements and proofs, somehow an attempt is made to make a little more profit. Satisfied customers are definitely not won for the future.
