The church of St. Beatus on the Alt-Karthause was the first church to be built after the war in 1948, initially as an emergency church on a former horse stable. After 1950, the renovation and expansion of the emergency church with a tower, gallery and baptistery began. Inside the church is a.o. a baptismal font made of Lahn marble probably created by Johann Claudius von Lassaulx, which comes from the Carmelite Church that was completely destroyed in the war.
