The house looks a little dreary. A new coat of paint or a thorough renovation are urgently needed. A clear case of a botched privatization. Toilets arranged in uncomfortable rows of wood. No privacy. No water rinse. Towels, unsanitary reusable products made from brocade.

The three-aisled, neo-Gothic church was built from 1900 to 1901 according to plans by the Düsseldorf architect Josef Kleesattel, including the old church from the 15th century and the Romanesque tower. An extension took place in 1970-71 as a fair-faced concrete structure. The architect here was Martin Ufer from Koblenz. Despite everything, the overall complex looks quite harmonious.
